I graduated from The National Catholic School of Social Service at The Catholic University of American in 1991 with a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work. In 1993 I successfully obtained a professional license as a Clinical Social Worker in Virginia. I completed training in Imago Relationship Therapy in 2000 and became a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist in 2001.
My early career involved service on a Maternal and Child Health Team addressing health issues in one of the largest and busiest hospitals in Northern Virginia. Subsequently I held positions at several private non-profit adoption agencies. In these settings I assisted women and families facing loss, life and role transitions as well as relationship issues that were impacting their lives.
In private practice, my focus is on working with individuals and couples looking for assistance with a variety of challenges including anger management, communication issues and parenting challenges. While the majority of my work is with couples looking to improve their relationships, I also work with individuals looking for assistance with personal, vocational and health issues.
I have been a resident of Northern Virginia for over twenty years. I am happily married (for over 24 years) and the mother of two daughters.
